The local fresh seafood is nurtured by the Kuroshio Current of the Pacific Ocean

Guests are treated to fresh seafood landed daily by fishermen at Shimoda Bay, prepared by our Execuive Chef to the Yamadaya House style.

Izu Shimoda is famous for its seafood from the Pacific and guests will enjoy locally caughtseafood such as kinmedai fish, abalone shellfish and turban shell.

Onsen

Guests will enjoy the beautiful view of the night-lights of Shimoda Bay from our open-air onsen baths.

From the height of almost 40m above sea level, our open-air onsen baths are surrounded by beautiful local flowers and plants and they overlook the Shimoda Bay. Guests will enjoy the best evening and night views from the open-air bath made out of natural stone and Izu stone with onsen hot spring. Available between 14:30～09:00

Private Family Bath “Hinoki”
Private Family Bath is free for all guests. Max. 40 minutes per family until midnight. Please reserve at check-in. Available between 14:50～24:00
